This program replaces existing fluorescent light fixtures with more energy-efficient options. Primarily, T-12 lamp fixtures and magnetic ballasts are replaced with T-8 or T-5 lamps and electronic ballasts.
Energy Efficient Bulb Program
Reduced pricing on compact fluorescent and LED bulbs are made available for customer purchase at participating retailers through the regional Simple Steps, Smart Savings** program. Bulbs may also occasionally be distributed directly to customers or given away at outreach events.
Ductless Heat Pump Program*
This program provides an option to customers looking to supplement or replace zonal heating systems, using inverter-driven ductless heat pump technology common in the commercial sector. No ducting is required for system installation. The heat pump technology also provides air conditioning more efficiently than through-the-wall air conditioners.
Heat Pump Program*

This program is offered in conjunction with retailers to promote and
sell qualifying energy-efficient ENERGY STAR washing machines, refrigerators and freezers.
ENERGY STAR New Homes*
This program is offered in conjunction with participating builders and State Certified Home Performance Specialists to construct energy-efficient new homes to ENERGY STAR standards.
ENERGY STAR Manufactured Homes*
This program is offered in conjunction with participating manufacturers and state inspection agencies to reward customers who purchase energy-efficient manufactured homes built to ENERGY STAR standards.
This program is offered in conjunction with local participating insulation and window contractors to install measures that reduce electric heating and air conditioning consumption. Available measures include insulation, caulking, weather-stripping, thermostats and windows.
Shower Head Program
With partial assistance from Showerheadreview.net, reduced pricing on energy-efficient, reduced-flow shower heads are made available for customer purchase at participating retailers through regional Simple Steps, Smart Savings** programs. Shower heads may also occasionally be distributed directly to customers or given away at outreach events.
Green Motor Rewind Program*

This is a regional program provided by a BPA third-party contractor that provides energy audits for grocery and convenience stores primarily to identify savings with refrigeration equipment. Local contractors can install recommended measures or the program can provide experienced contractors to do the work.
This program is offered in conjunction with local participating irrigation equipment dealers to encourage agricultural irrigators to replace old, depleted or inefficient line equipment with parts and equipment that will reduce electricity and water use.
