Town  Hall Meeting
Wednesday January 25, 2017, 6:30 p.m.
Vendome Events Center
309 State St, Weiser, ID 83672

At last night’s city council meeting the emergency management team presented two main objectives to respond to: Snow removal from streets and snow load assessment and removal from key buildings. After presenting three options for each objective, the city council voted unanimously to first, work with the state of Idaho to bring in additional equipment and labor for five days to get the snow off of all the streets. The contracted crews will work on the primary streets, allowing the city to work on residential streets. Second, the city will bring in a structural engineer to assess the roofs of as many public access buildings as feasible. They will then present results to interested parties for informed decision-making on the need to remove snow. The implementation of these plans begins immediately.
