I grew up farming east of Weiser below the Galloway dam. After graduating high school in 1969, I enlisted in the Idaho Air National Guard, serving for approximately 10 years before discharge. I worked at various jobs around Weiser including employment at the City of Weiser for a few years. I subsequently made a career change in 1976, and went to work for (then) Oregon Portland Cement at Lime Or. I retired after 37 years from the Durkee Or. plant of (now) Ash Grove Cement, in 2013. My wife Debby and I have spent all of our married lives in Weiser, raising 2 sons, and enjoying involvement in their pursuits. I have always been an outdoorsman, and Debby and I now both enjoy golf, travel and the many benefits of life here in Weiser.
