Our sympathy goes out to the family of Rod Jones who passed away last week. Rod and his wife Lynette spent countless hours doing volunteer work at the Weiser Community Pond after it was built. Rod and Lynette are members of the Indianhead Fly Fishing Club who worked along side former Mayor John Walker to transform property given by Kevin Jones and Weiser Feed and Seed into a pond used for walking, fishing and picnicking. Lynette also spent hours writing grants for the ongoing upkeep of the area. Rod’s presence has been missed the last couple of years due to illness. He raked, weeded and cleaned up around the pond with no fanfare. Thank you to his family for his contribution to our community.
Congratulations to Weiser Classic Candy for their 10 years of business. Thank you for being in our community and being actively involved in the life of the City of Weiser.
