The Mayor’s Corner 03/28/2018

It’s time to remind everyone to lock their doors again. This weekend the County had a home invasion incident and I am sure the homeowner had no thought that anyone would enter their home in that manner. Nicer weather brings out the best and worst in some of us. Even in our safe small community there are those who look for taking from others. Locking your doors is wise anytime you will be away but is also wise at night. Protect you and yours by locking doors.
Washington County Sheriff’s Department is looking for any information that might lead to the apprehension of the criminal who entered the house of West Indianhead this weekend. If you know anything contact dispatch at 208-414-2121 or the Crime Stoppers at 208-414-2677 to help find this individual so it does not happen again.
Reminder: WSD is on Spring Vacation so watch for kids along the streets. With the weather changing for the good, more pedestrians and bikers will be out so drive alertly. Pedestrians and bikers follow the rules of the road.

Lots of Easter breakfasts and brunches in churches and local restaurants as well. Enjoy the time with your family and friends. Happy Easter.
